GHV Middle School students Perform in All- District Honor Bands
Five GHV Junior High Band students were selected as members of the North Central Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor band held November 12th at Clear Lake High Schools EB Stillman auditorium. The day began with auditions for chair placement. Auditions were based upon required etudes, scales and the honor band music. Approximately 200 students from 33 Schools in north Iowa were selected to create two equally skilled bands under direction of guest conductors.
Kara Knoll Clarinet, Josie Malek Clarinet, Sophie Deacon Trumpet, Anna Fritz, Ryan Englin French Horn, all represented GHV Middle School as members of the 2021 honor band. The bands concluded their full day of rehearsals with a 5:00 p.m. performance for before a full audience of family, friends and directors.
